Mousepad Makeover

What to do with the boring corporate designed mousepad you collected from last year’s business conference? Or how about the dingy mousepad you have from eons ago? Well, mine was a conference free gift the hubby got from about 2 years ago, and what can I say about the mousepad – bleh! With that said, I decided to give it a makeover.

Old mousepad and scrap fabric (fabric left over from DIY Mail Organizer project)

Cut fabric to the size of mousepad, leave slightly more than 1 inch on all sides.

Heat n Bond iron-on adhesive paper

Cut iron-on adhesive paper and leave about ½ inch on all sides. Place adhesive side on the back of fabric, and iron on the paper liner for 2 seconds. Go over until entire surface is well bonded. Allow to cool.

Peel off paper liner and place adhesive side down on top of mousepad. Iron for 6 seconds until entire surface is well bonded.

Carefully trim around the mousepad to remove excess fabric. Gently squeeze bottle and apply very small amount of Fray Check around the perimeter. Let it dry for 15 minutes.

Mousepad looks as good as new!
